Putting the controversial monthly payments aside, I love Photoshop, and I think the new features are great and worth it if you are a creative professional. In my personal opinion, the $49.99 option (or $29.99 for CS3 to CS6 owners, which is what I pay) is more valuable as you also get almost every other Adobe design app ( $19.99 student-teacher option available). With CC You’ll also get the Creative Cloud features such as cloud storage, Behance sharing and collaboration, and settings synchronization. For some people this is a great option, considering that if you wanted to buy CS6 Extended, you needed $800 upfront. The subscriptions start at $19.99 for Photoshop CC. However the most important thing to consider when upgrading to CC is not the new features, but the monthly commitment you will have to make. If you are a Photoshop CS6 user that only upgrades every two or three releases then these features in CC alone may not be a determining factor to upgraded one version later.
